First of all - I'm wearing jeans! Hello! Haven't done that in something like million years (flares don't count). I don't know what's happening to me but I've worn these jeans on more than 3 occasions. Wow! Second, this is my updated, weather appropriate (it's really chilly in the mornings and I'd say even cold at nights) off-work uniform - t-shirt, shorts switched to jeans and added jacket. Keeping everything to the bare minimum.

In other news - I'm back to my Alma Mater for Master's degree. I'll be studying Management Information Systems (MIS) it sounds sooo geeky it makes me absolutely giddy about it!

So, you can expect my sporadical blogging even more chaotic. Be prepared.

Chilly weather makes me think about fall and I think this Set's fall collection is exactly how I want (and actually usually do) look this fall. Silk blouses, tailored coats, velvet jackets, pencil skirts, skinny pants, basic colours and few jewel tones. So perfect and simple! If only I could get Anna Selezneva's cheek bones too!

Vasara ir gadalaiks, kad es varētu visu laiku dzīvot vienās un tajās pašās drēbēs un kurpēs. Nu, vismaz pa atvaļinājuma laiku. Viena kleita, viena maika, vieni šorti, viens kurpju pāris. Un neko vairāk arī nevajag! Un attiecīgi rodas jautājums - kāpēc man ir visas tā vasaras kleitas un maiciņas, ja es praktiski tās nemainu?!?!

I could spend my summers wearing the same clothes all the time. OK, at least during a vacation. One dress, one top, one pair of shorts, one pair of sandals. That's all I need! Hence the question - why my wardrobe is bursting with all those summer dresses and tops?!?!

Ceru, ka jūs zināt Kinfolk žurnālu. Dzīvajā to neesmu turējusi rokās, bet virtuāli izšķirstījusi gan.
Mans sapnis ir kādreiz būt tādās brokastīs/ pusdienās/ vakariņās, kādas viņi organizē. Man vienalga vai kāds tādas noorganizēs vai arī man pašai būs jāmeklē kāda pamesta siltumnīca, siena šķūnis vai jumta dzega. Bet man gribas būt daļai no maltītes kura nekad nebeigtos, jo neviens negribētu iet prom. Paziņas, draugi, radi un nepazīstami cilvēki visi kopā baudītu ēdienu, sajūtu un viens otra kompāniju.

I hope you know Kinfolk magazine. I've never held it in my hands but virtually I've flipped through it. And I absolutely love it!
I have a dream someday to participate in the breakfast/ brunch/ lunch/ diner/ whatever like the one Kinfolk team sets up. I don't care if it's organized by somebody or if me myself would need to hunt down an abandoned green house, empty barn or a roof top. But I want to be a part of the meal nobody wants to end - friends, acquaintances, family and strangers enjoying the perfect meal, atmosphere and each other's company.

Tā kā tehnisku iemeslu dēļ mana kamera šobrīd nav izmantojama (iesprūdis objektīva vāciņš, jā, jā, ļoti tizli), tad jāizlīdzas ar telefonbildēm.
Biju Cēsis. Tur bija ļoti karsti! Okej, okej, visā Latvijā ir ļoti karsti! Un kā vienmēr ļoti smuki. Un es atgriezos ar pāris suvenīriem.

Due to some technical issues I can't use my camera at the moment (the cover of the objective has stack and I can't get it off! Very lame! I know.) I have to survive just with my phone camera for now. Poor me!
I was in Cēsis (one of the oldest towns in Latvia and also one of my favorites). It was very hot there! OK, it's very hot in the whole 64,589 km² /24,938 sq mi of Latvia! Unbelievably hot! And also it was very beautiful there! And I brought some souvenirs.

If I fall out of the habit, I fall hard! In this case - of the habit of taking outfit photos. One of the many reasons is that I've embraced simplicity with a vengeance! So my daily outfits are very pure and uniform like. And who wants to see that? He.
But, hell, this is my blog & I can do whatever I want! Don't I?
This outfit is significant with 2 things:
1st - I have finally found my perfect skinnies! The perfect length! They skim the ankle the way I like. Perfect fit! They hug my hips and but how & where I want. And perfect color! Beautiful shade of greyish navy.
2nd - I have fallen in love with linen t-shirts. They're the best!

Runājot par vēju kas glaužas gar stilbiem. Pēc rūpīgas tirgus izpētes atļaujos paziņot kā Rīgā šādas sandales atrast nevar! Jo par spīti tam, ka netā dabūt var visu, man joprojām ļoti vecmodīgi patīk pašai visu uzmērīt un iztaustīt. Protams, var dabūt sandales, kuras ir vienas vienīgas ādas sloksnes, ka sajūta, ka tā ir nevis vasaras kurpe, bet zābaks, var, protams, dabūt sandales ar blingiem, puķītēm, leoparda rakstu un vēl visādām briesmām. Bet vienkāršas sanadles kas sastāv no nepieciešamā minimuma - 4 ādas sloksnēm, to nevar dabūt. Rīga, jel attopies! Es neticu, ka es esmu vienīgā kas grib kko vienkāršu un minimālu. Kad beidzot tirgus Rīgā atbildīs iedzīvotāju vēlmēm?

And talking about the wind that rubs your bare legs. There are no sandals like this in whole Rīga, I searched high and low and came up empty handed. Of course, nowadays you can get everything/ anything on the net but I'm very old-fashioned and love to feel and try the things on. You can get sandals that consist of so many leather strips that remind me more of a boot in Rīga, you can get sandals with blings, flowers, leopard print, with anything you want. But you can't find sandals that consist of the bar minimum - 4 leather strips. Rīga once more has let me down! Besides, I don't think I'm the only one in Rīga who would love to buy minimal kind of sandals. When the market in Rīga will finally reflect the demand of its inhabitants?

Vasara ir tad, kad nepaliek tumšs, kad logi stāv vaļā visu laiku, kad galva reibst no puķu smaržām un krāsām, kad gribas nedarīt neko pie jebkāda ūdens - upes, ezera, jūras, dīķa, peļķes, kad vējs glaužas gar plikiem stilbiem, kad vīns dzeras kā limonāde un saldējums šķiet vislabākā pārtika un kad laiks tek caur pirkstiem kā smiltis.

Summer is when it never gets dark, windows are open 24/7, you get dizzy from scents and colours of all the flowers, when you want to do nothing by any kind of water - lake, river, sea, pond or puddle, when wind rubs your bare legs, when you drink wine like a lemonade and you can survive just on ice-cream and when time runs out like sand between your fingers.

1. LMA modes nodaļas skate. Bilžu netā ir daudz! No tā ko redzēju man patika Edītes Treijas "Kalitāns" (tā pirmā melnā kleita ir kkas!), Reiņa Ratnieka "...", Inetas Urtānes drapējumi "Nomad".
2. Pirmo reizi biju Dzintaru koncertzālē. Pārsteidzoši, bet līdz šim nebiju iemanījusies tur būt. Šoreiz es klausījos klasisko mūziku, bet jūlijā došos uz Griškovecu!
3. Redzēju Kara Dabu LNO. Fantastiski! Ekselenta mūzika, video. Žēl, ka nevarēja kārtīgi redzēt Henrika Vibskova tērpus. Un, brīnums, brīnums, pamanījos pat nedaudz atjaunot savas japāņu valodas zināšanas. Un ja vēlaties salīdzināt pierakstus, tad man vislabāk patika The Spy daļa - Super Sieviete.
4. Es esmu blonda.
5. Vai Preen resort kolekcija nav tieši tas, ko šobrīd sirds kāro - košas krāsas, lielas uzdrukas & vienkāršas līnijas?

Lately.
1. I went to the LMA (Art Academy of Latvia) fashion show. It was excelent! I loved works by Edīte Treija (the first black dress is to die for!), Reinis Ratnieks and drapes by Ineta Urtāne.
2. For the first time I was at the Dzintaru koncertzāle, it's open air concert hall by the sea. It's awfully popular in the whole former USSR. But I somehow managed to avoid it. I guess I'm correcting that with vengeance as I already have tickets for one more concert there this summer!
3. I saw Kara Daba (War Sum Up) in LNO. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Excellent music, video. Unfortunately, it was harder to see Henrik Vibskov costumes but from what I saw it looked very good and appropriate. And a lot of manga. Besides I could brush up my Japanese as opera was in Japanese. Pretty amazing, isn't it?
4. I'm blond now.
5. Isn't Preen resort collection exactly what you're craving for right now - clean lines, juicy, bright colours and sparse, big prints? Beautiful!

To be totally honest it's very rare that I love editorials in Latvian magazines. So, I was happy to finally see fashion pages in Veto that I really loved! Besides I guess only in Latvia you'd see fur in June issue. So cool! (Figuratively and literally speaking. :))
